MK Reentry Program

Sponsored by the
Narramore Christian Foundation

A Dynamic and Practical Seminar
for the Sons and Daughters of Missionaries

Mark these dates for MK 2015
Sunday, July 12 – Friday, July 24, 2015
Biola University, La Mirada, California

 Who Can Attend?

This Reentry seminar is for missionary kids (MKs) who have just completed High School and are returning to the United States and Canada.

 When and Where?

For nearly 35 years the Narramore Christian Foundation, a Christian counseling ministry, has offered this thirteen day Reentry Seminar each summer.

The seminar is held on the BIOLA University campus or conference facility at La Mirada in the Los Angeles, Southern California area, which has modern air conditioned dormitories, dining room, and complete athletic facilities for swimming, soccer, tennis, and other sports.

 Objectives?

This FUN-FILLED seminar has some very practical objectives:

Orientation: We'll talk about American culture—the good and the bad, college life, friendships and dating, and finances. There will be several off-campus social and recreational outings, including the beach, and an amusement park.

Assessment: Personality tests will help to assess your personal adjustment and identify growing edges.

Adjustment: Christian educators and counselors, with a heart for missions and a love for teens, will encourage and guide you in addressing areas for personal, social, and spiritual growth.

Challenge: Daily meetings, nightly dorm devotions, and informal conversations with staff and fellow MKs will challenge you to trust God more fully and give new understanding to the Christian life.

 Lots of Fun and Relaxation

The seminar is a blast, but it is also very intense in content both emotionally and spiritually. While mornings are spent in the classroom, there is also time to enjoy sports, recreational group activities, games, or just sitting around relaxing.

 What MKs Have Said

"It is the most awesome experience you'll ever have! You learn how to relate to others, understand yourself, and look forward to the future." – MK from Ecuador

"This is something you will never regret. You will come away with a sense of encouragement and hope regarding living in the U.S." – MK From Mongolia

 Cost and Registration

The seminar cost to the MK is $525. Participants will also be responsible for their travel expenses to and from the seminar. This includes shuttle costs from the local airport directly to the campus. Your seminar fees include room/board and all other seminar activities.

The remainder of the seminar expenses for each MK who is accepted is covered in the form of an $1000 scholarship given by the Narramore Christian Foundation. All participants must plan to attend the entire seminar and are expected to cooperate with the planned program.
